Quotes:
“As trans folks around the country fear the new laws popping up in and around their states, this tour brings relief to their door. Crossing the state line may be outside the comfort zone for some trans folks in some states. I see this tour as an inspiration and a protest. For so long, trans folks were the “jokes” and you were hard pressed to find a trans comedian. This empowering tour faces the bad history and the current political turmoil head on. I use jokes constantly in my line of work to break the tension and disarm discomfort just like this tour. This is exactly the kind of medicine our country needs right now. “
-State Representative Brianna Titone - first openly trans elected official in Colorado
“The Here to Pee Tour is an important movement for the community. Using humor has always been a great tool to bring people together. There are many ways to fight phobias and bigotry, and we need to use them all. I love that this tour is combating it with humor in the best way possible. I am excited they are going to all 50 states and spreading awareness and love. This will bring people together, spread hope, create community, and diminish hate and misinformation.”
-Matthew Neumann - LGBTQ Foundation of Kansas
“At The Affirming Spaces Project, we love to see the Here to Pee comedy tour happening! We need more transgender representation in all forms of media and entertainment to help gain societal acceptance and understanding of the Trans community. Laughter is a perfect way to build community and compassion!”
